GlenAllachie 2008 Bourbon Barrel #24882 12 Year Old 700ml

Hand-selected by Master Distiller Billy Walker, The GlenAllachie 12 year old Bourbon Barrel is part of the second batch of the UK exclusive Single Cask series.

Each specially selected release demonstrates the exceptional casks to be found in GlenAllachie’s warehouses and Walker’s meticulous approach to wood management which sees him use his experience and expertise to steer the unique interaction of wood, spirit and subsequent flavour development.

Bottled at 58.2%, unchilfiltered and natural colour, only 239 bottles are available.

Since reviving The GlenAllachie Distillery, one of the independently owned distilleries in Scotland, Master Distiller Billy Walker has spent endless amounts of time carefully analysing the spirit within each and every cask. It was then he realised just how special our whisky was. Now, the GlenAllachie single malt is ready to be enjoyed by the world. Billy proudly puts his name to every single one of these bottles.

Having been crowned winners of the Scottish Distillery of the Year award at the inaugural Scottish Whisky Awards 2019, the team at GlenAllachie use their drive, passion and desire to create a single malt whisky to be proud of.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Apples and heather honey with oak wood, orange zest and sweet spices.

Palate: Toffee, barley sugar and rich oak notes, fused with apples, orange zest and sweet spices.
