Bumbu XO is truly a thing of beauty. A smooth, rich and complex rum created from scratch by our master distiller, our XO is aged in bourbon barrels and selectively finished in white oak sherry casks to achieve a beautifully balanced, endlessly sippable rum.

This special release is distilled and aged in Panama, where we created a truly unique – and unquestionably superior – rum. Aromas of toffee, toasted oak, and vanilla give way to orange zest, peppery spice and even a hint of coffee on the palate.

A wonderfully engaging rum that encourages repeat visits, Bumbu XO is perfect for traditional rum cocktails – and perhaps even better on its own, neat or with a single ice cube.

THE HEART

Our Original Bumbu's heritage isn’t just historical – it’s geological. Unlike most Caribbean islands (formed by volcanos), Barbados was created by coral reefs. Here, our ground water is purified as it’s forced through our natural limestone, making Barbadian water some of the finest in the world.

This exceptionally pure water, coupled with carefully selected sugarcane from across the Caribbean and South America, lends the lightness and smoothness that’s central to Bumbu’s remarkable drinkability. Pure Bajan water forms a part of each bottle of Bumbu.

THE CANE

Our master distillers select sugarcane from some of the world’s best countries for producing the crop. The minerals and other elements present in sugarcane contribute unique characteristics when distilled into rum.

THE DISTILLERY

Bumbu Original is made at a historic Barbadian distillery founded in 1893 and continuously operated for more than 120 years. Our rum is distilled using two continuous stills. The yeast used during fermentation is a distillery secret that dates back as far as 1840, when some of our original iron pot stills were cast.

We’ve also got a lovely white-sand beach a few steps out the back door. But we’re not bragging.

THE BOTTLE

Our ultra-heavyweight glass bottle is a work of art on its own, adorned with a tarnished metal "X" in front and map of the Caribbean across the back. Our favorite part is the old-fashioned, oversized cork – you’ll hear a celebratory POP each time you crack open the bottle.

We like to sip our Bumbu straight, but try it over ice or in your favorite cocktail.
