Cocktail Hybou Tropical Negroni
The Agricultural rum from the West Indies takes the place of the gin in this classic negroni twist, to which pineapple and coconut are added to sublimate the recipe with tropical notes. A bittersweet cocktail tha links one of the great classics with the minimalist tiki culture.
Serve very chilled in a glass filled with ice cubes. Decorate with a piece of pineapple and enjoy like a true Hybou Chilleur.
This now cult cocktail was born with a Florentine heritage. The story goes that an Italian Count used to enjoy his Americano at the Casoni café in Florence. Nostalgic for his trip to London, he asked the bartender to spice up his usual cocktail with an extra dose of gin. The Negroni was forever baptized.
The oldest recipe is mentioned in 1949. It appears in Jacinto Sanfeliu Brucart's book "El bar: Evolucion y arte del cocktail". The "original" recipe, taken from this book, is made up of Ό gin , Ό Italian vermouth and ½ campari.
