RESERVE RUM 1931

Τo brand γιορτάζει τα εγκαίνια ενός νέου αποστακτήριου το Φεβρουάριο του 1931 στην Κοιλάδα του Mabouya, κοντά Dennery, στην Αγία Λουκία. Η Ποτοποιία ιδρύθηκε από τον Denis Barnard και παράγεται ρούμι μέχρι το 1972, όταν το Saint lucia Distillers σχηματίστηκε από την συγχώνευση του αποστακτηρίου Dennery και το Roseau . Αυτή η ιστορία εκπροσωπείται στην ετικέτα και το εξωτερικό κουτί της μάρκας. Κάθε χρόνο το χρώμα της ετικέτας αλλάζει. Ως εκ τούτου, η φιάλη του 2012 θα είναι διαφορετική από την φιάλη του 2011 όσον αφορά κι το περιεχόμενο αλλά και το περιτύλιγμα. Κάθε φιάλη έχει ατομική αρίθμηση.

Blend: Ένα μείγμα αποσταγμάτων από Coffey και copper pot still από το 1999 και το 2004.

Ωρίμανση: Επτά διαφορετικά αμερικανικα λευκά δρύινα βαρέλια – Jim Beam, Jack Daniels και Buffalo Trace και δύο βαρέλια Port χρησιμοποιήθηκαν στη διαδικασία ωρίμανσης. Τα ρούμια στη συνέχεια αναμειγνύονται και αφήνονται να παντρευτούν στην αμερικανική δρυ για άλλους τρεις μήνες.

Ηλικία: Μείγμα από ρούμια που κυμαίνονται 7-12 χρόνια στην ηλικία.

Xρώμα: Πορτοκαλί, Χάλκινο

Όψη: Διαυγής

Γεύση: Ψημένοι ξηροί καρποί, καρύδι, μοσχοκάρυδο, αποξηραμένο βερίκοκο και γαρύφαλο. Μακριά και ξηρή επίγευση με έντονες τις νότες των ξηρών καρπών. Πρόθυμα γλυκιά με μια έντονη τσιχλώδη αίσθηση.

Μύτη: Πικάντικη, με έντονο άρωμα από βανίλια και καρύδια και μοσχοκάρυδο

Chairman’s Reserve Limited Edition 1931

Chairman’s Reserve Limited Edition 1931 is a tribute to the rum philosophy and craft established by our founder, Denis Barnard, when he established his distillery in 1931, which has become today one of Saint Lucia’s most cherished treasures, St. Lucia Distillers. Blend and Maturation A seamless blend of Coffey and pot still rums aged from 6 to 11 years in Bourbon and Port casks. The majority of the 1931 blend comes from traditional molasses rum, while the hidden spunk of the spirit is influenced by the inclusion of Lucian agricultural rum produced from fresh sugarcane growing in the fields adjacent to the distillery.

Tasting Notes

Vibrant medium gold in color with a subtle bronze hue, the character of the rum is highlighted by the expressive aromas of honied raisins and vibrant toasty oak notes followed by hints of leather, spice and tobacco. A well-balanced mid-palate provides structure around flavors of rich sultana fruit with hints of crème caramel and buttery oak. At first a sweet raisin fruit, trailed by dry and tannic flavors from the oak barrels. A hint of grassy aromatic sweetness from the sugarcane distillate gives a unique, hedonistic but balanced element to finish of the rum.
