Bunnahabhain 1988 30 Year Old

Amazingly rich, this 30-year-old Bunnahabhain has aged fully in second fill sherry casks. The Xtra Old Particular range combines the oldest and rarest bottlings from Douglas Laing, bottled from a single cask without coloring nor chillfiltration

On the nose detect rich beeswax with muscovado sugar and light peat with a herbal sweetness. The palate provides a burst of sweet cereal, almonds and homemade stick toffee pudding with ginger and nutmeg, while the finish is long and dry then fading to highlight the camphor and Islay sea salt and gentle smoke.
