PLANTATION BARBADOS 2005 — ELEGANT AND EXOTIC
This vintage was distilled in 2008 in a four column still at Trinidad Distillers, and has been aged 10 years in Trinidad, then matured 1 year in Ferrand casks.
SYMBOL
The label depicts a plantation where oxen pull a plow through the earth to remember that Trinidad was an important land for sugar cane cultivation before rum was introduced. The Frieze highlights a red ibis, symbol of the island of Trinite also present on the coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago.
TASTING NOTES
Nose : White fruits directly followed by white chocolate are enhanced by a citrus notes wich bring fresh component. Very floral and slightly woody.
Palate : Freshness first pops up with deep fruit notes. Spices arrive later and are mixed with woody tones.
Finish : Round bouquet of chocolate and spices.
