Cafe Sante

The company’s history begins in 1954 in Metsovo, with the foundation of a small coffee shop by Uncle George (Barba Giorgis). The divine aromas of the freshly roasted coffee beans attract the locals and very soon “Barba Giorgis” becomes a benchmark for the local community. In this small shop Barba Giorgis teaches his son the secrets of grinding and roasting coffee beans.

In 1999 the company moves to larger new premises in Athens. Today Barba Giorgis’ son carries on the family heritage, launches new coffee products and continues to spread the brand name “Barba Giorgis” across the country.
