GREAT SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY FOR ALL
We believe that everyone should be able to buy a good quality single malt scotch. You shouldn’t need a fancy display cabinet to enjoy Scotland’s national drink. That’s what we set out to do in 1960 when we built the Macduff distillery. Our distillery was built by four entrepreneurial Scots and a practical production approach saw us introduce shell and tube condensers (where we cool the vapour back into liquid) into the first gravity-fed scotch whisky distillery allowing us to reduce costs, and our environmental impact.
The Deveron 18 Years Old
Colour: Deep gold.
On the nose: Big notes of fudge and sultanas. Dried apricots. Tinned fruit in syrup.
In the mouth: Dried fruits, but very mellow. Redcurrants – quite tart, in fact, rather than super sweet. Warming ginger. Definitely more cereal grains coming back.
