APLA WHITE – Dry White Wine

50% Malagousia – 30% Assyrtiko - 20% Vidiano

Tasting notes: A delicious wine with a lot of complexity, from vineyards of 12-45 years old. Attractive tropical fruit in the nose, completed with stone fruits and floral notes. On the palate, it has a rich feel with restrained acidity and a lingering fruit finish.

Food Matching: Perfect with seafood and salad, sushi and Asian cuisine in general. A pleasure for all moments.

“APLA” FAMILY: Nikos Karatzas founded OENOPS WINES PC in 2015 and it is the most newly established winery in the region of Drama. Its main purpose is to produce high quality wines in limited quantities. The grapes come from personally selected vineyards from Drama and Macedonia in general, that are cultivated from ambitious winegrowers.

Viticulture – Winemaking: Grapes are sorted carefully and pressed with whole clusters in a vertical press or limited cold maceration. Fermentation takes place in INOX tanks and amphoras, independently for each vineyard plot. That means that each variety from a different parcel stays in a different tank to show up its own aromas. After 3-4 months of aging on the fine lees, wine has already got its character and it’s ready for bottling.
