Olmeca Tequila Altos Plata

Altos Tequila Plata is 100% agave, hand-picked, organically fermented, cooked in brick ovens, crushed using the 500 years old Tahona Stone method and roller mill before being distilled in copper pot stills.

The result is a super premium tequila to be enjoyed neat and perfect for a crafted Margarita or Paloma cocktail.

Tasting Notes

AROMA: Herbal notes of steamed agave and fresh citrus-sweet tones overall.

TASTE: Sweet to the mouth with citrus notes like lime, lemon, and agave. The aftertaste is pleasant and long-lasting.

Consumption Tips

CRAFTED PALOMA

Frost the glass rim with salt and crushed pink peppercorns.
Add 2 parts Altos Plata, 1 part lemon juice and 1/2 part agave syrup.
Mix until syrup is diluted.
Fill the glass with ice and add 2 parts grapefruit juice.

Product History:

Olmeca was created in 1967 and is now made at Destileria Colonial de Jalisco, México, under the care of Jesús Hernández, Maestro Tequilero (Master Distiller) where he uses different artisan methods for the elaboration of tequila.

The Weber Blue agave is grown in Los Altos (the highlands) region, 2,100m above sea level; known for its rich red soil that gives Olmeca its unique naturally sweet profile.

Olmeca Tequila has won different gold and silver medals at competitions such as The Tequila Masters, San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the International Wine & Spirits Competition.

In 2009, Maestro Tequilero Jesús Hernández teamed up with two of the world´s most recognized bartenders, Henry Besant and Dre Masso to create Altos Tequila.

Made at Jalisco’s Colonial Distillery, it features artisan methods for its elaboration, using hand-picked agave cooked in brick ovens, the 500-year-old Tahona Stone method for crushing and copper pot stills for distillation.
