SUPER NIKKA REVIVAL

One of Nikka’s classic brands in Japan, the Super Nikka has been a top seller there since its introduction in 1962, in honour of Rita Taketsuru who passed away the previous year. This blend provides a subtle harmony of fruit with light peat and sherry notes.

This product does not meet all the criteria of “Japanese whisky “ defined by the Japan Spirits & Liqueur Makers Association.

COLOUR : Burnished gold with orange hue.

NOSE : Elegant and round. Successive notes of sage, Mirabelle plums and Russian leather. Subtle oak and spice (cumin) evolving on floral aromas (lilac, lavender).

PALATE : Lively, vibrant. A mellow core (lavender honey, almond milk), ash, vegetal notes (malted barley) seasoned with a pinch of salt. Notes of marshmallow and violet.

FINISH : A light smokiness along with freshly cut grass and anise flavours. Super Nikka is a blended whisky born in 1962.

RECOMMENDED SERVES : Straight, on the rocks, or highball/mizuwari.
