Variety Composition: Pinot Noir 100%.
Tasting Characteristics:
Meticulous care in the vineyard and a gentle touch in the winery resulted in ALPHA’s PINOT NOIR. A wine of great intensity, balance and structure. Depth and concentration balanced by the fresh acidity and minerality that are typical of the site. Influenced by new oak, their subdued, alluring aromas, characterized from wild cherries aromas, with hints of spiced black plums, raspberries and cocoa seduce the educated palate, as does the vibrant acidity.
Harmony:
Well paired with all white meats, from chicken to turkey and hare, grilled or cooked in fine sauces. Pork fillet and feathered game. Best served at 16-18ο C. (60,8-64,4 ο F).

Amyndeon plateau. Amyndeon viticulture zone. Single Block "Strofi", 1,41 ha, Amyndeon plateau, 40°41'34.14"N, 21°42'16.72"E, at 619 m / 2.030 ft, with north-western exposure, facing mount Voras.
Vinification Method / Ageing:
Destemming, light crushing, cold soak - skin contact, alcoholic fermentation by indigenous flora isolated from the specific block, at gradual increasing temperatures with “pigeage”, maintenance of wine “sur lies” for 8 months with regular stirring. 12 months in new Allie - Bertrange French oak casks, medium grain, white toasted and 12 months in bottle before release. No treatment or filtration before bottling.

Age of Vines: Planted in 2000. Single Cordon VSP.
Soil: Alluvial, sandy, sandy clay soil, over limestone, of excellent drainage.
Harvest: Manual harvesting in 15 kg capacity picking baskets. August 28th
Density of Pl/tion: 6.250 shoots / ha.
Yield: 0,55 kg/m2 of active canopy. 29 HL/ha, post to green harvest & selection.
