Lagavulin Distillers Edition 700ml | Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky | Lagavulin
Lagavulin Distillers Edition 43%alc., Warming and balanced, Notes of Smoked Barley and Citrus Fruit, Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky - Lagavulin
Lagavulin Distillers Edition
Launched in 1997, Lagavulin Distillers Edition remains, after 18 years, an unmissable experience, that any whisky lover worthy of the name should taste at least once. And don’t worry if you were bothered by the peatiness of the Lagavulin 16 year old. When peat is married with sherry the results can be surprising. Smooth and spicy, the wild, medicinal character of the 16 year old becomes sweet and smoky. Lastly, while the first versions distilled in 1979 have become collectors’ items, there is no reason to consider the current batches inferior.
Launched in 1997, the multi-award winning Lagavulin Distillers Edition remains an unmissable experience, with the fierce peatiness of Lagavulin working in perfect harmony with sherry. Pedro Ximenez casks have been expertly selected to provide additional complexity to this Islay malt, providing a rich, balanced sweetness to the distillery’s characteristically intense spicy character.
