Variety: 100% Assyrtiko
One of the first white grape varieties that was planted in the vineyard ‘Houlevena’, the heart of Domaine Hatzimichalis, 40 years ago. The Greek variety Assyrtiko found an ideal soil to express its unique character.
Origin: From the selected single vineyard "Alepotrypa" part of the privately owned vineyards of Domaine Hatzimichalis in the heart of the Atalanti Valley.
Vinification: White vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats.
Alcoholic strengh: 13.5% Vol
Tasting notes: The expression of the multipurpose variety of Assyrtiko in the single vineyard ‘Alepotrypa’ reveals an extremely attractive wine. A sharp, lemony wine with bright and light yellow color, citrus aromas, nuances of minerality and some white flower notes. Rich mouth feel with high acidity, mouthwatering with aromas of peach and nectarine. Intense and long aftertaste.
Food pairing - Serving suggestions: Enjoy it with seafood, cous-cous with shrimps, shellfish, grilled fish, green salads as well as herb-crusted lamb or pork. Best served at 8-10°C.
