Vassaltis Gramina

Gramina is made from a single vineyard of 100% Assyrtiko which is located in the vil- lage of Vourvoulos. The grapes are hand picked before dawn and the whole clusters are pressed straight away to preserve fruit freshness. The wine matures for 12 months on its lees while parts of it may or may not rest in barrels for a short period depending on the vintage. The result is an astonishing- ly elegant wine that exhibits all the unique characteristics of the variety.

Nose: Rich and complex, ripe lemon and other citrus fruits, flint stone, bread, honey, jasmine, toast

Taste: Salt, citrus, stonefruits, balancing acidity, structured and concentrated , full bodied, very long after-taste

Ageing potential: 10 years

Serving suggestions: Grilled sea-food, roasted white meat, at 12° C
