The altitude of about 700 meters is one of the highest within the Mantineia area; the ancient theater of Orchomenos - dedicated to the god of wine Dionysus - lays a few hundred meters away.
The die is cast!
Thus was this land selected by Bessy Koumarela (Private Employee) and Nick Aslanidis (Electrical Engineer & Advertiser), as the most suitable to become the basis for their wine venture; To produce from their own vineyard the sort of wine they, themselves, would want to enjoy: delicious and aromatic, with the minimum of intervention, both in the vineyard and during winemaking, and, naturally, organic.
Hence the story begins, in 2001, with the purchase of an approximately 2,2 ha (approx. 5,4 acres) property, between Palaiopyrgos and Levidi, in the region of Arcadia, Peloponnese, and the planting of vineyards. From 2012 onwards the wine production takes off! During the 2015 harvest, the grapes are officially certified organic, and since the 2016 harvest, the wine produced bears the official certification as well.
