Our Company

Only 60 km away from the bustling metropolis of Athens, one of the most beautiful corners of Greece is hidden. On the slopes of Gerania, time seems to have stopped in antiquity. Here the vineyards were grown as early as 1,000 BC, as climatic conditions and soil morphology are ideal. The area was named after Megareas, the son of Oinoi, whose name is associated with “oinos”, which means wine in Ancient and Modern Greek.

Today in Megara, on the sunny slopes between Salamina and Corinth, surrounded by high pines and old olive groves, on an area of approximately 12 hectares, the vineyards of Eva-Maria Boehme and Haris Antoniou are harmoniously lined up. They are separated by small paths with rosemary and lavender, colorful roses and mimosas, blooming almonds and pomegranates.

In addition to the main building where the modern winery is housed, Eva-Maria Boehme and Harris Antoniou gradually turned some of the old, abandoned vats into small guesthouses, combining architectural tradition with modern comfort. In the small church of Agios Charalambos, the interior of which was decorated by the Greek hagiographers Lydia and Fotis Sarris, the owners thank God for the good crops.

The open-air outdoor area in front of the church, made of natural stone and decorated with pictures in the Bank's niche, may host 150 guests for various events.
