Queen Liatiko Red Wine
This Liatiko wine, one of the queens of Cretan grape varieties, with its aromas of dark cherry and wild berries, is produced from vineyards at 650m altitude. Intense, balanced with fine tannins and an expressive juicy finish, it pairs with pizza and pasta or fish in red sauces.
Tasting Note
Light ruby-red colour. Impressive aromas of wild berries red fruit liqueur, with hints of herbal and spicy flavours. Balanced and fresh on the palate, with fine tannins and an expressive juicy finish.
Food Matches
Mediterannean dishes like moussaka, pizza, pasta with red sauces as well as oven-baked tuna with tomato.
Serve at 15 °C.

Wine making
The non-irrigated and well acclimated vines of Liatiko in the region of Sitia and Rethymno, provide low yields and high quality grapes. Hand-harvested during the first week of September. Fermentation was achieved in a stain-less steel tank at 23 °C after a 5-day maceration for color extraction.
