Named after the traditional carnival dance at the region of Naoussa, 45 by Kotoulas Wines is a well-crafted, refreshing white wine from the Greek grape varieties Assyrtiko (90%) and Malagouzia (10%) cultivated in Elassona vineyards.

A rainbow of different flavours that literally dance on the palate: citrus fruit and green apple harmoniously mingle with tropical fruit and white blossoms.

The 2021 vintage is limited to just 500 bottles.

TASTING NOTES: 45 Varietal White Wine maintains the crisp acidity of Assyrtiko grape while offering a gorgeous aromatic twist due to Malagouzia grape. This wine pours a bright, pale straw color with a hint of green. On the nose it gives mango and orange peel with acacia blossoms. The palate is mouth-filling, cool and zesty, with a balanced acidity and a long lingering aftertaste.

FOOD PAIRING: It is perfect for shellfish, grilled fish and oysters. It goes exceptionally well with a lobster spaghetti or even a Greek tomato salad.

SERVING TIPS: Serve chilled at 10-12 °C in white wine glass.

WINEMAKING: Grapes are carefully selected and hand-picked from prime vineyard locations. They are rigorously sorted at the winery, to ensure that only ripe and healthy fruit goes into the destemmer. During white vinification, pre-ferment cold maceration takes place followed by alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 15-17 °C. After fermentation, fine lees are periodically stirred for 2 months.

AGING: Aged in 250-lt oak barrels for 2 months.
